Van Nien Lich does not require a TinyWorld account. Family occasions and preferences are stored on your device; you choose when to export backups or use supported Apple services.
1. Overview
Van Nien Lich is TinyWorld's Vietnamese lunar calendar and family-occasion app. No app account is required to view the calendar or save occasions. TinyWorld does not operate a server that receives your occasion contents and does not sell or rent personal information.
2. Data on your device
The app stores occasion names, lunar or solar dates, notes, recurrence rules, time zones, reminder preferences, revision history and drafts. Appearance preferences are stored separately. Personal profiles are hidden in the release being prepared; names or birthdays entered in earlier betas may remain on the device. Hiding the interface does not delete those values.
Device backups may include this data depending on your Apple settings. Deleting an occasion records a deletion in its history to handle imports and conflicts; it does not immediately erase every older revision or backup copy.
3. Notifications, widgets and Apple Watch
Occasion reminders are scheduled on your device after you allow notifications. You can revoke permission in system Settings. Contacts or location access is not needed to view the calendar or create occasions.
Widgets use an app-group snapshot. iPhone may send display preferences and up to 64 upcoming occurrences to its paired Apple Watch. Names are hidden on glanceable surfaces by default. Custom names and icons appear only if you allow them; lock-screen widgets and Watch Always On always hide names. Notes and full revision history are not included in snapshots. Cached views may update late; occasion snapshots expire after no more than seven days.
4. Backups and iCloud
Exporting a backup creates a file containing the current workspace's occasion history. You choose where to store or share it. It does not include all settings or drafts. Importing merges revision history, so older versions may remain.
iCloud works only in a configured build and when you explicitly enable it. When available, CloudKit stores occasions and history in your Apple account's private database. Device and iCloud workspaces are separate. Device data is not copied to iCloud automatically. Disabling sync does not delete cloud data, and this feature does not share a calendar with family members' accounts. Builds without iCloud configuration use device-local storage.
5. Purchases and external links
In purchase-enabled builds, Apple processes transactions and the app reads verified transaction information to determine access. TinyWorld does not receive payment card details. Pro availability and benefits are shown in the app; describing Pro here does not make an unavailable purchase available.
Bundled calendar content and backgrounds work offline. When you open a source or support link, the destination website's privacy practices apply. Apple may provide diagnostics or TestFlight feedback under your Apple settings.
5a. Advertising and privacy choices
This section covers ad-supported iPhone/iPad releases, including version 1.0.2. Publishing this policy does not turn on ads in an installed app. Ad-supported builds use Google AdMob to display a banner on Today. Older builds without the advertising SDK, native macOS and Apple Watch do not display this banner. Calendar content and family occasions remain usable offline; ads require an internet connection.
Google and advertising partners may process IP addresses (which can imply approximate location), device or app identifiers, ad impressions and interactions, product interactions, performance and diagnostic data. These may be used to deliver, measure, protect and improve advertising services according to the configuration, consent choices and Google's policies. Non-personalized advertising does not mean no data is processed.
The app does not include family names, birthdays, remembrance dates, notes, revision history or backups in advertising requests. Calendar use does not require precise location or contact access. Google User Messaging Platform manages consent messages when required by region and consent status. When available, “Quyền riêng tư quảng cáo” (Ad privacy) on Today lets you revisit your choices. Declining may result in limited ads or no ads depending on applicable requirements and service capability; it does not lock calendar features.
This advertising build requests non-personalized ads, does not request ATT tracking permission, disables the SDK's Publisher first-party ID, and turns off personalization through Publisher Privacy Treatment. Accepting choices in Google's standard consent message does not enable personalized advertising in this build. Ads use the General content filter; this filter is not age verification.
Google's privacy and advertising policies describe its practices and retention; links are provided below. TinyWorld cannot immediately erase data already processed by Google. Contact support@tinyworld.tech about the app's privacy practices.
5b. Checking for updates
The app may contact Apple's public catalog to check for a newer compatible release using its App Store region and platform. The request includes the app ID and store region; Apple receives ordinary network metadata such as IP address. Family occasion content is not sent. “Later” is stored locally. This is an in-app notice, not a push service operated by TinyWorld.
5c. Optional usage analytics — starting with iPhone/iPad version 1.2.1
Version 1.2.1, including TestFlight builds, adds Google Analytics for Firebase in the main iPhone/iPad app. Analytics is off by default and initializes only after you explicitly opt in. Earlier versions, macOS, Apple Watch and widget extensions do not include this analytics feature. Declining does not restrict calendar features or Pro access; this choice is separate from AdMob advertising consent.
When enabled, Google receives an app-installation identifier, app and device information (such as versions, operating system and language), sessions, screen views and feature interactions. Approximate region may be derived from network/IP information; the app does not request location permission for analytics. Events cover the tour, day/month navigation, saving or deleting special dates, appearance changes, opening a share preview, widget guidance and Pro purchase/restore outcomes. The SDK may also automatically measure in-app purchases, including product ID, price and currency. TinyWorld and Google use this data to understand usage, identify usability problems and improve the app. This is not a claim of no data collection or fully anonymous data.
App-defined events contain only predefined feature names and statuses, not personal names, birthdays or occasion dates, notes, private photos, search text, backups, receipts or transaction IDs. The app does not set a user ID, does not collect IDFA/IDFV for Firebase Analytics, and denies Analytics ad storage, ad-user-data and ad-personalization consent. Analytics data is not used to track users across other companies' apps or websites for targeted advertising. Separate AdMob processing is described in section 5a.
Change your choice in Settings → Data → Usage analytics. Turning it off stops new analytics collection and resets local analytics data/identifiers. The app does not queue pre-consent actions for later transmission. Turning analytics off or uninstalling the app does not automatically erase reports Google already processed. Retention depends on service settings and Google's policies. Contact support@tinyworld.tech for help or deletion requests; without an app account we may not be able to identify a particular installation in historical reports. See https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
6. Support correspondence
If you email support@tinyworld.tech, TinyWorld receives your email address, message and any files you choose to send to handle your request. Do not send passwords, payment details, family backups or other people's information unless necessary. We retain correspondence as needed to provide support and meet applicable obligations; you may request its deletion through the same address.
7. Retention and your controls
You can edit or delete individual occasions, disable reminders and manage privacy preferences in the app. Deleting an occasion does not immediately erase its history. Exported files, system backups and iCloud data must be managed separately. Deleting an app and its device data differs from Offload App, which can retain data. Offline Watch or cached widget snapshots may remain until the system refreshes or the data expires.
Disabling iCloud or deleting the app does not automatically erase previously stored iCloud data. Manage that data in Apple's iCloud settings. Contact support for deletion guidance; there is no TinyWorld account to close.
8. Children and policy changes
The app is intended for a general audience and is not designed specifically for children. No TinyWorld account is needed to use the calendar. A parent or guardian may contact us if a child has sent personal information through support. Optional Apple services follow Apple's settings and privacy policies.
When data handling changes, we update this policy and its date. Material changes are communicated in the app or on this website when appropriate.
